Lifey As a Wifey Wednesdays!

I realize this is posting a day late, but I haven’t done my Wifey Wednesday post in weeks, so I figured better late than never! So much has been going on in Haus de Parlier, that I’’m barely keeping my head above water managing one blog, let alone two! From new jobs, a serious social calendar, the holidays vastly approaching, and maintaining my optimal wifey status, we have been a busy bunch! I’m really looking forward to some R&R with the long weekend ahead, but until then, I have plenty to be thankful for, especially when it comes to my amazing husband! I will save you the sappy stuff and keep it short and sweet! As you know, we have a white board in our kitchen that we update with why we love each other. Tim has been overly patient and encouraging to me lately with all my new ventures and ideas, and I don’t want it to go unacknowledged. So here are a few things that he has done and is doing that make me proud, keep me happy (that’s a BIG one) and most of all, why I love him! (In no particular order)

He was featured on the front page of SanDiegoHouseMusic.com! This is so rad!

He makes the bed every morning…almost without fail.
Praise the Lord!
He bought me beautiful flowers when I got my new job
He picked out the prettiest box of tissue and although it doesn’t match our bathroom, I think its adorable that he tried!
*totally unprompted might I add*

He encourages me everyday to take my relationship with Jesus deeper.
He has everyone in our small group and at church constantly laughing at his silly jokes
He is committed to praying for others, which is so admirable!
He remembered how many months we’ve been married when someone asked. He didn’t even have to think about it!
 (hopefully that’s a good sign?)

He puts down the toilet seat 100% of the time now.
(Who doesn’t believe in Miracles!?)
He’s been great listener to me lately with all my crazy ideas and “life plans” for us.

Alright, I tried to make it as least sappy and cheesy as possible, but I couldn’t help it! ;) Tis' the season to be Thankful for the small and sweet things in life ;)

"Lifey as a Wifey" Wednesdays!

First off, my apologies for being MIA this past week, as I have been working really hard on another Blog project that I cannot wait to share with the world! More on that later…

It’s hard to believe how quickly time is racing by in 2010. I feel like we just celebrated St. Patty’s and here we are gearing up for Halloween, and before we know it, Santa Claus will be coming to town! With life moving so fast around us, it’s easy to allow it take over and rapidly move us from one event to the next with little to no breaks, or chance to stop and smell the roses. Next thing you know, the seasons change and you realize it’s been SIX months and although it feels like an eternity at times, so quickly it’s only our memories that provide short snippets of this life we have on earth. My fear of letting the good times roll into a recollection oblivion is my main inspiration for documenting my journey as a newly wed through his blog.
This upcoming weekend marks our Six Month Anniversary of our wedding, and I couldn’t be more shocked how vastly this approached us! Do I dare say, “It feels like yesterday…,” we were planning and primping, stressing and then celebrating in anticipation for this new life ahead, and here we are a half a year into it!? These past 6 months have absolutely been the best 6 months of my 27 (and a half) years on earth. Tim and I have built a home together, found a friendship and love between us I didn’t know existed and even flown around the world and back-twice! I am so grateful for everything we have experienced, and the love we have been surrounded by through our newlywed process. I pray that everyone in this life would have the opportunity to experience a journey like this, as it’s been exciting, trying, painfully sweet, and the best testament of my Faith in God thus far. And to think it’s only been six months, so who knows what God has in store for us with the next six, and the many more years from there. I want to make sure I take this bull we call life by the horns, and not only make it what I want to be, but make sure I take a breather, and enjoy these times with my husband. After all, we are only considered Newlyweds for six more months right??? ;)
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TIM!!!
I LOVE YOU!

"Lifey as a Wifey" Wednesdays!!

As a wife, and as a patient of therapy, I am always trying my best to react to situations in a loving and compassionate way, even though my instincts want to lead me down a more selfish path at times. In the past few weeks, I have found myself wavering around a few silly, but very pertinent, questions that have presented themselves in which I have re-directed my responses to those of a caring, selfless, affectionate wifey. :)

WWGWD? What Would a Good Wifey Do?
(…and what did I do)

What do you do when you travel thousands of miles to watch your Husband’s football team lose?
WWGWD: Buy him a beer and volunteer to be the DD.
Mrs. P: He bought he beer, but I still drive him home :)
What do you do, when you book a king size, but the hotel gives you two queens and your husband is 6’3 and sleeps like the Vitruvian man?
WWGWD: Bear through it and risk losing a good night’s sleep or injury being pushed off the bed.
Mrs. P: Heck no! I made it 1 hour and moved to the other bed for a peaceful night with my own covers! Sorry.
How are you supposed to react when your husband’s fantasy team goes “down the drain” in one game and he’s furious?
WWGWD: Say nothing and steer clear
Mrs. P: Ditto!
What do you do when he picks mint chip ice cream and you want cookies n cream?
WWGWD: You eat it anyway and are happy to see he was honest about his choice.
Mrs. P: I figured, at least it was a skinny cow and wasn’t a total waste of Calories!
What would happen if I picked out and washed only MY clothes in the hamper for a week?
WWGWD: a good wifey wouldn’t do such a selfish thing.
Mrs. P: YUP, my clothes are clean, and his aren’t! ha!

As you can see, I still have a little fine tuning to do, but in all fairness, marriage can be a fun game of tug-a-war as long as you always try to give more than you take!  I find it entertaining to chronicle the daily triumphs and tribulations of stretching your mindset from an “I” to a “We”. What are some funny questions you find yourself asking?

"Lifey as a Wifey" Wednesdays!

While the Cat’s away, the Mice will play!  This past weekend, I found myself sitting at home, alone, two days in a row while my husband was out gallivanting around town doing guy things. Saturday, I stayed in, and did what I never do; Sit on the couch and veg out with the computer in hand. It was nice to do absolutely nothing, but surely wasn’t as fulfilling as so many people make it out to be. I actually went slightly bizerk and vowed to never do that again! Sunday after church I found myself alone once again, as Tim was sitting VIP style at the Charger game.  After a flash of Macaulay Culkin from Home Alone when he realized he “made his family disappear,” I decided to channel my inner Kevin McCallister and take this as an opportunity to do whatever I want!!!  It’s very rare that Tim and I are not together on the weekends, especially Sunday, so I went ahead and did all the things I WANTED to do, without the pressures of getting back home to my husband, fearing that I am boring him to death or rushing because I’m taking to long making decision in the cereal aisle at Ralphs! This day was mine for the taking, and no one could stop me! First stop, one of my favorite places, Bed Bath and Beyond, where I got a total steal of a deal on a wedding gift for my brother and his fiancé Veronica.  Luckily, UTLA, a mega beauty supply store is steps away from BBB, so I hit that up next where I scored again on a few great beauty buys, like their self tanning system that was on sale for $4 each!
You know how I looovveee self tanners (Tim hates them!), and the real sun is so harsh on your skin, so I’m always in the market for a new products. After reading Larinna's post on I Heart Spandex, I was also scouring the shelves at ULTA for this Garnier Fructose conditioner. No such luck, so naturally, I defaulted to the best place on earth, TARGET. In my previous lifetime, I was a devout Nordstrom shopper, but times have a changed people, and so have my ways! Time and time again, I find it almost impossible to not go to Targe’ and walk out without spending more than expected, hence the reason Tim steers me clear of that place. I haven’t stepped foot in that Mecca of Bargains in over 2 months! With total spending destruction in mind, I had a blast looking at everything from home goods, beauty supplies, clothes, hair products (they didn’t have what I was looking for either), and lastly shoes. Is it weird that I’m obsessed with Target shoes!?
Season after season they prove to have the cutest shoes for the best prices, and when paired with the right outfit, no one believes me that they aren’t from a high end retailer.   Insert Obsession. I splurged on a pair of boots for $35 and settled on a few boyfriend tees after I was overwhelmed with the rest of the selection of cute clothes. Glad to hear my anxiety is saving me money nowadays, vs spending it! I topped off MY day with a great gym sesh, only to come home to a lovable husband that missed me dearly. I had the perfect day with Yours Truly, but in the end, I missed my best friend while we were apart. For my sanity, and our budget, I hope he doesn’t leave me alone again anytime soon!

PS. The boots are buy one get one 50% off online! Also, I saw very similar boots in the Nordstrom catalog for $205!

"Lifey as a Wifey" Wednesdays!

With our five month anniversary days away, and yes, I have gleefully celebrated each month, (notice I said I, not we ;) ) Tim and I have finally fallen into a lovely pattern of co-habitating cordially in our new home. Those of you that know me, know that I am extremely particular, and then tremendously meticulous on top of that. Perhaps I have my parents to blame, (aahhheem, Debbie) for my OCD tendencies, but I am getting better each day, all the while grooming my resistant husband to become as finicky as I am ;) Muaaahahhaha (Evil Laugh) I use the word grooming lightly in that it’s more of a force, a nag, an outburst, a battle, a mental breakdown, and a slight temper tantrum all by my doing, but in the end, my house is clean, everything is where it should be, and we live happily ever after in our perfect home. *insert sarcasm here* ha!

With that, it was suggested to me to journal, aka Blog, about all the little things that “Drive me crazy” but at the end of the day ARE NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL. I already look back and laugh at some of the “hurtles” we have overcome since our joint occupancy, and although frustrating at the time, I wouldn’t change them for the world. This is by no means is a bash on my husband, but more so funny reflections, that I have learned over the course of sharing them, that the male species in general doesn’t vary much in these tendencies across the board. From putting on pillow cases inside out (seriously!?), Vacuuming but leaving the vacuum cleaner in the hallway with the cord unwound, emptying the trash but never replacing the bag, leaving a pair of shoes in every room every day (I swear he has more than I do!), thinking groceries magically appear in the fridge, and being determined an elf is stealing his socks from the dryer, Tim has exposed me to a whole new side of roommateship. My recent favorite was his concern that three pairs of his jeans disappeared without explanation, only for me to point out that I was washing them for him! Ha! Oddly enough house cleaning, laundry and cooking are three of my favorite hobbies, and I say that with the upmost sincerity. I enjoy being a housewife, and most of the time don’t mind pulling a double day, as they call it when you work your 8, only to come home and work some more! I am fortunate to have a relatively clean and tidy husband that truly appreciates all that I do to keep the house up to MY par. Unfortunately for him, I’m the one with issues, not him! I’m convinced he leaves a small mess here and there just to fuel my restless syndromes and get me fired up. Luckily, my perfectionist tendencies, and my obsessions about our home are just as much of a joking matter as his misunderstanding of what it means to really make the bed. We are still learning SO much about one another and what makes us tick and tock. In the end we are a great two man team that takes turns being Coach and Player in this interesting game call Married Life!

“Lifey as a Wifey” Wednesdays!

Last night we had a 4 month newly-wed check up with our pastor, Matt Tague. It’s astonishing how quickly time flies and that we have been married for almost 5 months! Secretly, I’m already researching where to go for our One year anniversary! Heehee. Tim and I agreed that it’s been a wild ride these past four months, specifically the first two winding down from a busy wedding and honeymoon. I’m happy to say our reflections of our marriage have come full circle and we are happier and more in love than the day we tied the knot. Enough about the gushy stuff and on to a more serious note. Although we did a more intense version of pre-marital counseling at another church, a few of the most touching elements have been with our current pastor, Matt. He asks the deeper questions regarding our relationship and commitment to each other, as well as with God. I wanted to share an exercise we did last night regarding our Life Maps. Every one of us has a Life Map, some more detailed than others, but it illustrates where we have been and where we want to go, which in turn is a fundamental component of WHO we are TODAY. Matt challenged us to desire to know and understand each other’s Life Map so we can encourage and better identify with why we act a certain way. Having been together for almost five years, you could assume we know just about everything about our counterparts, but that’s not always the case, and as life evolves, things change. He broke it down into five elements: FEARS, HOPES, ACHIEVEMENTS, FAMILY ORIENTATION (how you were raised and/or want to raise your kids the same/differently) , and DESIRES. He separated us into two rooms and we had 5-10 minutes to fill in our spouse’s life map in regards to these five items. Then we came together and shared what we wrote. To my amazement we were both accurate with our reflections! (Ever since failing the “How well do you know Tim” game at my bridal shower, I always shutter at these games!) More importantly, it put these items in writing for us to keep, and we added to each of ours as we spoke about them. As a supporting wife, it’s important for me to acknowledge my husband’s fears, as well as his hopes and desires as we grow our life together. Surprisingly, one of Tim’s reflections was my desire to be a mother someday. Obviously we talk about it, but it was interesting to hear how he has picked up on my nesting and nurturing habits now that we have a home together.

With all relationships, having a clear understanding of where your partner came from, and where they want to go, helps with the “WHY” we do things the way we do! It was a great exercise for us, and will definitely be the topic of date nights to come. I have a desire to know more about my husband and what makes him tick. Matt warned us that far too often couples and families get dragged down by a daily routine and we lose sight of the big picture that indeed shapes us more than we think! I would encourage any and all couples to do this, as like I said, even after 5 years, you learn something!

"Lifey as a Wifey" Wednesdays!

Part of my growing role of being a Wifey is making sure I feed my hungry husband and I'm proud to say I have advanced my culinary skills since I last blogged about it. Like everything else, we have different tastes on what to eat, but since I’m the cook of the house, he is forced to eat what I decide to create! The part where he really likes it, is what I am working on ;) You see, I don’t mind bland, boring, healthy foods. I don’t think twice about what could make it taste better, I just make it and eat it and move on. I don’t consider myself a picky eater, because I like things plain, but again, Tim and I disagree on this too!

With that, I tried a new recipe last night! When asked what was for dinner, I said, “Meatloaf!” My loving husband’s response was, “What did I do wrong to deserve that!?” Naturally, this sunk my confidence levels down as I chopped and minced away, but regardless, I was excited for this new yummy and healthy recipe! Without further ado, here it is, compliments of Miss Victoria Nicole ;)

Figure Friendly Turkey Meatloaf
Extra Lean Ground Turkey 1.25 - 1.5 lbs
2 Egg Whites
1 cup oats (quaker oatmeal)
2 cloves garlic, minced (or 2 tbsp of garlic powder)
2 tsp. black pepper
2 tsp. Chipotle Pepper Spice or Chile Pepper
1 tsp. salt

Optional Veggies (pick 2 types)
1 small onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
1/2 Cup red bell pepper chopped
1/2 Cup zucchini chopped
(I picked Red Pepper and Onion~YUM!)

Extra Seasonings if you have it:
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
2 tsp. dry yellow mustard

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Mix everything together in large bowl. Using your hands is the easiest; just make sure you wash them before and after really well! Place in bread loaf pan sprayed with non-stick spray. Bake for 40 minutes.
I steamed green beans and made a fresh salad for sides. Tim was skeptical at first, but to both of our surprise, he loved it! We agreed it tasted like a big delicious turkey meatball! ;) A little salty for my pallet, but I definitely plan to make this again!
Best part about it is that it’s super lean and healthy, and perfect for leftovers!

"Lifey as a Wifey" Wednesdays!

Earlier this year, Tim and I decided to take action on spending more one on one time together. At the time, we were both working full time, planning a wedding, hittin’ the gym every chance we got, Tim was volunteering with Spring football, and for me, D.I.Y.ing til I just about D.I.-Died! We were warned time would be tight during the hustle and bustle, but were also wisely advised to set apart special time with each other. Hence, the creation of “Date Night.” It’s one night we set aside each week,(for us it’s Thursdays) to spend time alone, doing something fun. We do our best to not plan anything else on that day, unless an official change of plans has been approved by both parties, and a substitute day has been put in place.
All seriousness aside, we try to make this a priority, but seeing that we don’t have kids, and things have settled down dramatically, we aren’t as strict with sticking to only Thursdays. With that, this week’s Lifey as a Wifey Wednesday is about our amazing Date Night this past week!

Compliments of Rubio’s, we had two tickets for a San Diego Harbor Excursion Cruise that we have been holding on to for over 6 months in hopes for great weather to make the experience all the more enjoyable! Luckily, the weather has been more than desirable, so we went ahead and booked it for Saturday night. Our reservation was set for Dinner for Two aboard the Spirit of San Diego vessel departing at 7:30pm sharp. After snapping a quick photo, it was all aboard, where they greeted us with a glass of champagne and we were on our way!
We noshed on a pre-arranged three course menu of delicious Caesar salad, Chicken, Steak or Fish with side accompaniments, and a yummy Chocolaty truffle dessert all the while cruising around the beautiful San Diego Harbor. Not sure if it was to set the stage for romance, or to make things especially awkward for those on a first date, but all the tables were arranged with both chairs on the same side. Tim and I have never been same side sitters, but we had a good laugh about it, and enjoyed the intimacy.
After our scrumptious eats, we ventured out to take in the ocean breeze and snap a few more photos of this amazing city we call home. We splurge on the cheesy commemorative photo they took upon boarding, but opted out on the horrific display of dance moves from DJ Jamie and other drunk cruisers going on in the lower deck. ;)
The night commenced with an awesome firework show over the bay as we cruised back into the dock. Overall it was a pleasurable and very memorable experience, which made it an absolutely perfect date night!

xoxo

PS~Sorry for all the dark pictures!

"Lifey as a Wifey" Wednesdays!

From the very beginning of our courtship, Tim and I have put God in the center of our relationship. We started off as friends going to church together, and ended up married serving in our church together! Even when Tim was designing my wedding ring, he kept this in mind by choosing to use 3 stones, symbolizing God in the center with us on each side. Lord knows we are NOT perfect, and there is no doubt in either of our minds that we wouldn’t be married today if it wasn’t for our faith in God. With that, we are always looking for ways to not only grow in our relationship with Him, but also with each other. Our love for Jesus is actually our strongest attraction and similarity to one another, so it’s fun for us to explore this further as husband and wife. We have dabbled here and there with classes at church and volunteer opportunities over the years, and currently we help out with the Jr./Sr. high school group on Wednesday nights. However, over these past five weeks we have taken a short hiatus with the youth group to attend a Servanthood class taught by our Pastor.
T&A 2008 :)
Technically, this class is required in order to volunteer with the youth, but we were interested in taking it regardless! This is the first class at church Tim and I have taken as husband and wife and just like having a fun study buddy in school, we get to talk about what we learned and even do our homework together at night! I must admit, Tim is a better student than me in that he is always pumped to whip out the Word and dig in to our weekly assignments. Tonight is our last night, and although I am excited to get back to playing Dodgeball and chitchatting with the junior highers, I’ve really enjoyed taking this class with my husband. It’s opened our eyes and hearts to what God has in store for us as Mr. and Mrs. and it’s brought us closer as we learned together.

"Lifey as a Wifey"....Friday!

There are several lessons you learn when you exchange your “I” for a “We” at the alter, but one that tends to surface the most is sacrifice. I have to admit, Tim seems to be winning in this department as he has shown he would do anything for us and my happiness, but I am definitely working on it! I think we both would admit that we are finding ourselves doing (or not doing) things we normally wouldn’t, all in the name of love. And through it, we are bonding, and experiencing new things as a married couple. Although petty, one thing that completely blew my mind recently was Tim’s willingness to watch the Bachelorette with me every Monday night! I’ve never watched one of these series before (clearly either did he), but we were both hooked come the season finale. I could tell Tim enjoyed the fact that I was THRILLED he would even sit in the room while I watched it, let alone follow it and debrief after each episode. It really made me Very Happy! ;) So here we are, final episode, Alli and Roberto live happily ever after and the fun is over. I turned to Tim and said, “Now that its over we have no TV shows to watch together!” (We have VERY opposing views on what's entertaining.) I should have known there were strings attached to his appeal for the Bachelorette! He then says, “Since I watched the Bachelorette, You get to watch Hard Knocks: The NY Jets Training Camp with me!” waahhhhh wahhh.

Well, this week was the first episode, and I must admit that I enjoyed it very much! Minus the foul language, it’s very entertaining and I have already learned a lot about America’s favorite game. You could say I hung up my heels for cleats, but happily so, because I know it brings joy to my husband for me to sit with him during all things football. After all, the season is just weeks away, so this is my training camp as much as it is for the Jets! Sacrifice is always worth it, especially when you reap the benefits. Besides, watching the top athletes in the world run around shirtless in spandex pants is hardly sacrifice ;)

"Lifey as a Wifey" Wednesdays!

A week from today Tim and I leave for our Euro-trip! We both couldn’t be more excited to just get away from everyday life and spend time together. Although we won’t be alone for most of our trip, we will have a few days in the beginning that I am really looking forward to. This will be our 2nd time traveling out of the country as a married couple, but this time I am officially a Parlier! We’ve obviously traveled together before, and have actually been to Rome, Italy 4 years ago, but this time it will be different, because I’m his Wifey! From checking into the hotel, to meeting new people, to calling to confirm our reservations, it’s so fun to say, “Mrs. Parlier,” or even better, “I’m Tim’s Wife!” I am so proud of my husband and I am honored to be by his side at such an event. We are the first of this group of friends to get hitched, and although I have been around them for over 5 years, it feels more “official” that we are married now. I’m not longer Cargo, Tim’s Girlfriend or Fiancé, I’m the wifey that is going be around Forrrevvveerrrr. Muaaaahhaahaahaaa (evil laugh). Or as Puljiz calls me, Pargo. I’ll take the endearment any way I can get it because going from a Cargo to a Parlier hasn’t been easy, but it’s times likes these, that make the last 4 ½ years worth earning the title as “wife."

"Lifey as a Wifey" Wednesdays!

As you know, I am attempting to document our life as newlyweds, in particular my developing role as a wife! Well, I certainly wouldn’t be a wife, without a husband, so once again, Lifey as a Wifey Wednesday will be about my awesome husband Tim…aka DJ Parliyay.
I have emails spanning back to 2006 when Tim and I first started our courtship where he mentioned his passion and interest in electronic music. Being somewhat of a deep house enthusiast myself, it was something we bonded over and shared an interest. Over the years, Tim’s love for music became more serious and developed into a true hobby. I must admit there was a point where I didn’t take his passion seriously, but he quickly proved me wrong. When it came down to buying Tim a wedding gift, I wanted it to be more than a piece of jewelry or just something fancy and overrated. I thought about who he is as a person, the dreams that he has and the passions that made him into the man I love. With my creative juices flowing at an all time high during wedding preparations, I decided on a gift that although didn’t seem very sentimental, has turned out to be the ultimate dream catcher; a MAC book Pro. I truly feel that I didn’t just give Tim a computer, but I enabled his dreams to focus on a passion of his. Although at times I feel like I’m competing with computer for attention, I know deep down that nothing makes him happier than to listen, create and now share his music with tons of people. Check out his site at http://www.djparliyay.com/. Clearly, I am his #1 Fan!

"Lifey as a Wifey" Wednesday!

Lifey as a Wifey gets better and better each day, but the challenges are getting greater and greater. The “I” goes out the window, and the “we” quickly replaces it. Usually in a positive way, but its not easy letting go of your individuality to become one together. Although I am still learning, I have realized that the best thing I can do for my husband is support him with my love and prayers. My mom sent me excerpts from a book called, “Praying God’s Will for your Husband,” along with a letter to me emphasizing the need for committed prayer in a relationship, especially for our husbands. I was so moved with this gesture, that it brought me to tears. Stormie Omartian says it perfectly, “I can think of no better way to truly love your husband than by lifting him up in prayer on a consistent basis. It is a priceless gift that helps him experience God’s blessings and grace.”

The book is broken out into chapters that correspond with certain needs of our husbands. Check out the table of contents hereIt’s not meant to be read cover to cover, but moreso as a daily devotion based upon the current needs, or simply just to lift him up in prayer!
My commitment is to put my pride aside at times, especially when I’m not his #1 fan at the moment, and pray God’s will for Tim. I believe in the power of prayer, and I am excited to see the blessings God has in store in our marriage.

"Lifey as a Wifey" Wednesdays

Today marks the first installment of “Lifey as a Wifey" Wednesdays! I’ve decided to cure my mid-workweek blues by writing about a subject that is new and exciting to me: BEING A WIFE! Lucky for me, this new title comes with a handsome, sweet, and loving husband that, so far, has made my Lifey as a Wifey Saaawwwweeettt! ;) So my first post as a wife is a Standing ovation, Round of applause, High clap and Fist pump to my AWESOME husband,Tim. You don’t have to ask my mother to know that I can be a handful, and Tim has held on tight and close through my rollercoaster of emotions these past few months…or maybe years ;) I don’t ever want him to feel under appreciated or have the sweet things he does go unnoticed, so I try my best to express my thankfulness and count my blessings. We hung a white board in the kitchen last week, and after it hung blank for a day, I decided to start a new practice. Across the top I wrote, “I love my husband because he cooked me dinner.” Obviously I love Tim for many more reasons, but I felt it was a lovable gesture that he cooked for us that night. Later he saw what I wrote and had a big grin on his face. Since that night, I fill in the blank when the opportunity presents itself. I’m happy to say that my cup runneth over with gestures to be thankful for! Just a few from this past week: “I love my husband because he brought me Peonies (my fave!)….he did the dishes…..put together my new computer desk while I was at work….bought us a new book shelf.” Perhaps these little notes are more for me than for Tim, but updating the board has become my favorite part of the day. Behind every great Wife, there should be a caring, giving and loving Husband and I am so blessed to have Tim fit the bill. ;)
